Frequently Asked Questions

The quick check uses no AI. The full check is mostly measurements and rules, with a labelled AI second opinion that plays a small part in the score.
Yes. A large business can have a slow page or an awkward checkout and still sell successfully. These tests do not measure reputation, repeat customers or advertising. Our florist-specific checks also ask about delivery dates, card messages and other details a general retailer may not need. Compare the evidence behind a finding, rather than treating the number as a league table of businesses.
Ask them to look at the specific finding and its evidence. Your website may be working as designed while still making something harder for a customer. Equally, our check may have missed a detail or misunderstood the page. The report includes how we reached a finding and how to check it yourself, so you can discuss the same example.
The scores measure different things. A Google speed test score describes loading performance under a particular test. Our overall score combines seven areas, including delivery information, checkout and accessibility. We use Google’s measurements within the relevant areas; we do not treat its performance score as a score for the whole florist website.
Florist Toolbox is made by Digital Florists, which provides shop-management software for florists. Digital Florists does not sell websites. The checker helps you find problems to fix yourself or discuss with your current website provider. The same checking rules apply regardless of which provider built your site.
The quick check reads your homepage and may look at your contact page. A full check visits more pages and walks through ordering the way a customer would, then stops before any real personal or payment details. It does not place or pay for an order.
The checker visits a handful of pages at a gentle pace and slows down if your site asks it to. It does not contact your customers. If you notice a problem, get in touch.
The report shows which parts of your site we could not reach. We do not solve “prove you are human” puzzles. An area we could not check is left out of the score, and a blocked visit does not mean your customers are blocked.
The full report includes detailed findings, and a full check can try the ordering journey. Ownership confirmation helps keep those actions and details with the people responsible for the website. Use a verified account email on your shop’s domain, a confirmation sent to a published shop email, a code in your domain settings or a tag on your homepage. Our team can help if those options do not work for you.
The checker reads public websites and follows the controls a visitor can see. It recognises a range of shop platforms and custom builds, but recognising a platform does not mean every page or checkout can be tested. Unusual controls and bot protection can limit coverage. A provider’s name or a relay membership is not itself a fault.
Some fixes are wording or settings you can change, such as a missing delivery area or an old notice. Others need your website provider, such as a broken button or a problem with the checkout. Start with the suggested action and ask what your current website allows. Its age alone does not decide whether it needs replacing.
Use Report a mistake on that finding and explain what you see. You can check the page yourself and share the evidence with your website provider. Screenshots and measurements record one visit, so a later visit can differ. A report is a starting point for investigation, not proof that every visitor has the same problem.
Anyone with a quick-check link can see its scores, top issue titles and homepage screenshots for 30 days. Full reports are available to confirmed owners and our team. An owner can create a share link for a website provider; anyone holding that link can read the report for 30 days, unless access ends sooner. Treat a share link as something you give only to the people who need it.
The quick check is free and needs no account. Until 30 November 2026, free accounts get one full check per website each week (it resets on Monday) once you confirm the site is yours. From 1 December 2026, full checks are part of Plus. Earlier reports stay readable. Lite accounts can add up to 3 websites and Plus accounts up to 5. The website review does not use your allowance for other AI tools.
Use the score to track this site and inspect the findings that matter to its customers. A score of 85 or more is labelled In good shape, but a high score is not a guarantee of sales, security or accessibility. Deal with a serious problem first, then repeat the check after the fix.
