Who they are
Hoek Flowers is a Dutch family wholesaler. The story started in 1979, when Peter Hoek opened flower shop Fleurado on the Voorstraat in Katwijk with his brothers Jaap and Wim. Peter went on to run the shop, then moved into importing and exporting flowers, and the business now sits at the Royal FloraHolland auction in Rijnsburg. Today it is part of the wider Hoek group.
What they do
They supply florists, not the public. The range covers cut flowers, greenery, dried flowers, plants and sundries, with thousands of varieties listed online. A large share of what they buy comes direct from growers, with around 80% sourced farm-direct alongside the Rijnsburg auction.
Where they reach
Hoek ships to more than 50 countries. They deliver with their own drivers in some areas and through partner transport companies elsewhere, so a florist picks the departure day and the account manager confirms transit time to their door.
UK and Ireland presence
For UK and Irish florists, Hoek runs UK Stock and a UK warehouse. The most recent base is Unit 10 on the Lye Valley Industrial Estate in Stourbridge, close to the M5 and M6, set up to cut delivery times to the Midlands and the north. Hoek Flowers UK Ltd has been registered at Companies House since 21 July 2016.
