Rule of thumb
When free delivery makes sense (and when it doesn’t)
Offer free delivery only when average order value covers cost per drop × 3 (to protect margin after labour and fuel). Use it for local zones during off‑peak weeks or on high‑margin bundles. Otherwise, set tiered fees.
